Rock ON!!

We, as in my DH, me, Nathan and Micah, went to hear a rock band Saturday night! The guitarist is a co-worker of Bill's, so we just HAD to go and support his craft. We went early and had a delicious dinner, and we also able to have a short chat with his friend. The band is called "Too Many Daves and the Brass SOULution!" Just how many Daves are too many? Well, when they first started the band, they had about 5 members who were named Dave. This band has been together for over 15 years!! That's a long time for any band to stay together. All the members have "day jobs" and some even have other band gigs. They are a "cover" band....which means they play songs that other bands made famous...not original music. I would think a cover band has to be even better at playing music since most people are familiar with the songs and know what it "should" sound like. This band was really good! It was great fun watching and listening to them, especially "knowing" someone in the band. Micah is learning to play the drums and has a band of his own, so he was especially interested in hearing them play.

Bill and I both tried our hand at photographing the band. It takes a good lens and wide apeture to get clear photos in such low lighting conditions. I was not able to get very many good pictures...just not enough light without the flash. Bill got some good shots and has published them to our family website. Take a look!
