June Birthdays

Two of my sisters have birthdays in June...and I would often get confused as to which one was which date. It's really not that hard if you remember that Nancy came before Jessie in birth order, and their birthdays fall with Nancy's first on the 8th, and Jessie's on the 11th. Mom invited Bill and I over to her house to celebrate Nancy's birthday last night...no kids, since she has very limited space now that she lives in an apartment off her original house. We had a great time watching Anna, Jessie and Bob's daughter, as she played with Nancy's child--err, I mean dog--Lucky. Poor Lucky had to endure humiliation as we tried the birthday crown and firehat on him. Nancy has been training Anna how to give commands to Lucky..."sit," "down," etc. Lucky LIKES it when Anna gives him commands, and obeys quickly-- he knows she likes giving him treats...and often! Mom was the hostess with the mostest, as usual, and served up one of Nancy's favorites...and mine as well..marinated flank steak! Mmmmm! She made had a beautiful cake and flowers for Nancy, too. It was a lovely, relaxing time! Happy Birthday, Nancy!

This one is really hilarious...Anna was looking at Uncle Bill as he came in the room and gave him the "evil eye." I think she's a little afraid of him!
