About three weeks ago, (yes, we've been THAT busy) Rebekah was dancing in her room and stepped down wrong and ended up hurting her foot. She was supposed to be in the Clara's Christmas ballet along with 4 other siblings, but the pediatric orthopedic confirmed that it was indeed a fracture, so she's not able to dance in the performance this year. She was walking around with crutches and the temporary cast put on in the ER, and then got a more permanent blue cast from the specialist. She didn't really need the crutches after that...they gave her a cast shoe and not only could she WALK on it, but she could also DANCE in it! You should have seen her at the Thanksgiving family dance contest! She kept coming up to me with little pieces from the cast, saying, "Look Mom!" It's no wonder the cast was coming apart...she was dancing so hard it almost looked like clogging. That cast didn't slow her down at all.
The same weekend that Rebekah had visited the ER for her foot, we had another small crises when Jacob fell down the stairs and hit his head on something and ended up with four stitches. Never dull around here!
