Yesterday we were talking about the Clara Christmas ballet performance that four of our children are in, and one of them was talking about their "pretend Dad." Bill spoke up and said, "Pretend Dad??? Isn't the real one good enough?!" LOL We all got a good laugh out of that.
In the ballet/play, there is a party scene where the kids are assigned to be part of "family," so they call their siblings and parents their 'pretend' sisters, brothers, Mom and Dad.
