Jesus Comforts His Disciples
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going." ~John 14:1-4
After reading this passage from the Bible on a friend's blog today (thanks Sammi), I knew it was the perfect verse for my post this evening. You see, today was the day that God brought one of His own to the place prepared for him. The 16-year-old son of a dear friend was suffering from seizures the last several months, and this morning did not recover from one. They had not known the cause of the seizures, but he was taking medication to control them. It is heartbreaking. Please join with us and lift up this family in prayer.
It reminds us once again that every moment is a gift. Be thankful for each one of them and cherish your loved ones.

Hello Mrs. McFarland,
I'm glad that this verse spoke to your heart, it did so to mine as well. I love this beautiful passage in scripture. My family and I will be praying for this boy's family. It is such a blessing to know that he is with his heavenly Father. Of course, we will all miss him. He was a beautiful person.
I am so sad to hear of this family's loss. :( I pray for peace and comfort to them (and you) during this time of grief.
